OutSystems Now Upgrade Plan
With the release of OutSystems 10, a new version of OutSystems Now has also been released.
What's New in OutSystems Now
OutSystems Now has been redesigned to support the development process. In OutSystems 10, the main use case for OutSystems Now is to quickly test your application on a mobile device, without needing any certificate from the Apple Store or Android Store. Simply develop your application, and test it on OutSystems Now. No certificates needed.

However, OutSystems Now still supports the use cases for OutSystems 9.0 and 9.1, which means you can still use it to access your applications in production environments.
How to install/upgrade it?
The new version of OutSystems Now released with OutSystems 10 is still compatible with previous OutSystems versions. Despite its several changes, the use cases for OutSystems 9.0 and 9.1 are still in place. If the native application is updated on your devices, you must also update the OutSystems Now component in your environments, otherwise your applications will stop working. The OutSystems Now component can be upgraded by downloading it from OutSystems Forge and installing it on your environments. According to the version you’re coming from, the steps to upgrade OutSystems Now may vary.
OutSystems 9.0
Download and install OutSystems Now version 1.1.27+ in your environment, compatible with OutSystems 9.0.1.67 onwards.
Update your OutSystems Now native application from the iOS App Store or Android's Google Play.
OutSystems 9.1
You must download and install OutSystems Now version 1.1.28+ in your environment, compatible with OutSystems 9.1.300.0 onwards.
Update your OutSystems Now native application from the iOS App Store or Android’s Google Play
OutSystems 10
You must download and install OutSystems Now version 2.0.2+ in your environment, compatible with OutSystems 10.0.105.0 onwards.
Update your OutSystems Now native application from the iOS App Store or Android’s Google Play
Customizations
The OutSystems Now component, from OutSystems 10 onwards, will be a closed application. This means it is not possible to open in the development environment. If you have a customized OutSystems Now and you’re upgrading to OutSystems 10 we recommend you start by cloning your OutSystems Now Application. To do this follow these steps:
Create a new application;
Clone OutSystems Now module;
Clone OutSystems Services module;
Move the previously cloned modules to your newly created application.
Once this is done, change your customized OutSystems Now native application to point to the new cloned OutSystems Services module. You can now proceed with the upgrade. Additional customizations should be done in your cloned OutSystems Now Application.
